Amels 200-02 at a Glance

The Amels 200 shares key components of Damen’s very popular AMELS 188 design, offering the same naval architecture, high volume, hybrid electrical power technology, four-deck elevator and air-conditioned Sun Deck gym. However, the 200 goes above and beyond by offering an elongated design which provides larger aft decks and a more spacious swim platform, plus full-height windows in the owner’s suite. Heywood describes the design changes as “only increasing her elegance and sophisticated appearance, as well as elevating the functionality of her interior, which is illuminate by enlarged windows.”

The Amels 200 is equally as impressive when it comes to its interiors. Luxury Projects was commissioned by Damens to work on the concept interiors for the new 200 line, and the team has worked closely together to bring the vision to life. Laura Pomponi, CEO and founder of Luxury Projects, notes, “It’s been four exciting years and a true pleasure working with the Amels and Damen Yachting team. Their professionalism, perfection and dedication to the product is simply amazing.” With owners preparing to take the helm of Amels 200-02 later this year, the finishing customization of the interiors will be completed by Luxury Projects to owner specifications.

Amens and Damen Yachting sales manager Jorrit Pilaar summed up the overall project. “We are delighted to have sold Amels 200-02 and also to be able to mark the occasion with her launch. The collaboration with all parties involved has contributed to reaching this wonderful milestone and the success of the project,” he noted. “I look forward to seeing the final stages come together and delivering her to her owner later this year.”

ABOUT FELLOWSHIP

A true handcrafted semi-custom passagemaker. Built and designed in 2003 by Burger Boat Company, LOOSE ENDS is a custom all aluminum yacht boasting a full displacement expedition style hull with a classic, yet contemporary interior to complement her bold exterior. The warm and contemporary interior by Linda Street Design was recently upgraded by Shelly’s Interiors, and delivers a timeless luxe vibe.

Outdoor spaces include the main aft deck, with fixed al fresco dining set up and wet bar with fixed bar stools. The beautiful sundeck features sunpads and seating, the helm station and a new Jacuzzi were added February 2020. The Portuguese bridge is another popular and private outdoor space and includes dual settees for open air banter and a good vantage point to gaze out over the horizon. There are large steps down from the main aft deck to the generous swim platform for easy access to the ocean and to enjoy Loose End’s inventory of toys and tenders.
