Amels 200-02 Launched in Conjunction with Her Sale

For the designers at Amels and Damen Yachting, innovation comes naturally. The latest design from the Dutch yacht builder is the 60 meter (197 ft) Limited Edition Amels 200. Amels 200-02, the second Amels 200 in the series, featured a collaboration with renowned yacht designer Tim Heywood and Italian design studio, Luxury Projects, for the custom interiors.

Amels 200-02 was just launched at the Dutch builder’s boatyard in the Netherlands, in conjunction with her recent sale. She will undergo the final stages of outfitting ahead of her delivery this summer. The sale was brokered by Damon Smallwood of Superyacht Sales and Charter. “It has been a pleasure to work with Damen Yachting on behalf of the new owners. The clients purchased her very late into the project, and the Damen team has gone above and beyond to meet their special requests,” Smallwood noted. “The new owners look forward to taking delivery of this beautiful yacht this summer.”

Selene FELLOWSHIP Listed and Sold in less than 120 Days

In the best of days, it’s a challenge to list and close on a large yacht purchase within such a short timeframe. In a COVID19 landscape, it’s a major undertaking. A True Handcrafted Semi-custom Passagemaker

New to market, Superyacht Sales and Charter is proud to announce FELLOWSHIP is now available for sale. This stunning 53’ trawler was built by Selene Yachts and is a true handcrafted semi-custom passagemaker. FELLOWSHIP has every feature a discerning cruiser would want for safe, comfortable, and extended cruising. She is equipped with twin, highly regarded Cummins QSB5.9 diesel engines (305HP), allowing for much greater maneuverability, control, and reliability as well as “get home” capability.

With a recently painted flag blue hull (2017), bottom paint and complete service (2020), new Strataglass flybridge enclosure (2020), immaculate interior teak woodwork, burled and ebony table and cabinet tops, plus granite countertops, this outstanding Selene looks like a much younger boat!

FELLOWSHIP has three staterooms with two full heads, each with separate stall showers. Additionally, the pilothouse watch berth and convertible salon settee can accommodate more guests if desired. Access to the flybridge is from both a stairway on the aft deck and stairway from the pilothouse. She cruises comfortably with electronically controlled Wesmar stabilizers. Launching of her center cockpit dinghy with its 40 hp motor can be accomplished easily with a finger-tip controlled (for lateral and up and down movement) hydraulic crane.

Her salon is designed for relaxing and entertaining with comfortable barrel chairs, settee and dining/coffee table. Her gourmet galley has substantial storage and convenient access to keep the chef happy. There is a much-preferred separate private staircase opposite the galley going below to the master stateroom and engine room access. A staircase going below from the pilothouse provides access to the two forward guest staterooms with a guest head separating them. A staircase from the pilothouse leads to the flybridge.

FELLOWSHIP’s hull was repainted in 2017, and in 2020 waxing, engine room detail and service of most regularly scheduled systems maintenance was carried out. The engines are up to date with all Cummins recommended service so she is good to go for extended cruising. Her twin Cummins diesels are very fuel efficient burning about six gallons per hour at eight knots.
FELLOWSHIP was built and equipped with redundant safety features to insure safe coastal and offshore cruising. She has had significant upgrades and regularly scheduled maintenance to ensure that she is in turn-key condition.

A refreshing departure from the normal production trawler yacht, she was custom built by a true yachting aficionado in 2006 with years of hands-on experience building boats. With her traditional lines/profile in combination with her very high standard of construction, top of the line equipment and fine finish, she is a contemporary classic in every sense of the term. WALRUS has a reduced air draft and makes an excellent choice for a Great Loop excursion. She is also a proven safe, economical and comfortable offshore passagemaker.

WALRUS, named after a boat the owner had in his youth, was just a gleam in his eye when he started talking with naval architect Dave Gerr about building “a traditional-looking classic boat that had seakeeping abilities and a moderate range,” adding that one of his main requirements was a shoal draft so he and his wife could cruise The Bahamas. Fans of traditional yachts will feel their hearts leap when they see the 76ft long-range trawler yacht WALRUS steam past. It’s not just her sturdy aluminum hull, graceful fantail, jaunty smokestack and steadying sail that evoke seagoing vessels of the past. This custom yacht makes a virtue of tradition inside and out—as well as beneath the waterline. Despite their ultra-shoal draft, these hulls have proven to be excellent seafaring yachts as well as economical at cruising speeds. WALRUS is no exception!

Massively built of aluminum at St. Augustine Marine Center by WJ Development to specs exceeding the original design by Gerr Marine, Inc. Her fantail stern configuration with unique tunnel-drive hull (centerline prop in tunnel) for shoal draft use and “beachability” was designed and built “to take ground with impunity anywhere, any time”. The tunnel-drive hull form was originally developed by naval architect William Atken between the two world wars and was later resurrected by Dave Gerr beginning in 1995 with a series of classic trawler yachts with fully beachable “box garboard” hulls. “It’s an old style of boatbuilding,” says the owner. “It allowed boats to slide over a sandbar.” Thanks to this unique hull form, Walrus draws just over four feet.

The Ultimate Superyacht Support Vessel

Superyacht Sales and Charter is proud to announce that the 177′ Damen shadow yacht UMBRA is now for sale. Reimagined as the ultimate superyacht support vessel, UMBRA underwent an extensive refit that left no piece of her untouched. A complete paint job and new garage are the most visible of the additions but by far not the only ones. The upgrades were done with the crew and performance in mind. Creating not just a beautiful vessel but a usable one as well.

UMBRA’s ample deck space, large garage, and heavy duty crane allow her to carry a wide offering of tenders and toys including two Triton submarines (available for purchase separately). She also features a full dive department with dive compressor, deck workshop in the air conditioned garage, and a 7m x 2m storage mezzanine.

UMBRA sleeps 19 crew in seven cabins consisting of a two four berth cabins, 2 twin cabins, one triple cabin and separate cabins for the captain and chief engineer each with a large double beds, all with en-suite shower facilities. The galley, crew mess, walk-in refrigerator and freezer are located on the lower decks. All cabins feature new phone system and apple TVs. The IT system received a complete renewal Mid 2019 providing wired and WIFI connectivity throughout the vessel.
